To display a specific page, Wordpress selects a template for that page. It searches for templates in the theme folder. For example, if we need to display the "Services" page, which has an ID of 25 and a slug of "uslugi," it will first look for the template for that page, which we manually specified in the page settings. It will then look for the page-uslugi.php file to display the page's layout. If it doesn't find such a file, it will look for page-25.php, then just page.php, and so on until it finds a template included in the theme. If no templates are found, it will simply display index.php. This is called the file hierarchy of a Wordpress theme. We know in advance how Wordpress will select a template and can create templates with layouts for different pages.
