An Inclusive Approach to AI Literacy | Uchenna Victor Moses | TEDxUniversity of Greater Manchester

Artificial intelligence is transforming every sector of society, yet AI literacy is still often treated as knowledge reserved for technical experts. In this talk, Uchenna Victor Moses challenges that assumption by introducing the AI Literacy Compass a non-hierarchical framework that argues AI literacy should be shaped by relevance, not technical depth. Through real-world experiences, he explores why everyone, from students and parents to professionals and policymakers, has a role in the AI ecosystem and needs the right level of AI understanding to participate responsibly in an AI-powered world. Uchenna Victor Moses is a Digital Project Manager working across technology infrastructure/cyber and digital transformation in the United Kingdom. He is the Lead Author of the Global Beginner’s Guide to Artificial Intelligence, focused on making AI practical and accessible for everyday people. His work is driven by a simple observation. Most conversations about artificial intelligence are designed for developers, not for the millions of people already using AI in their daily lives. Through community outreach and speaking engagements across different regions, including a technology campaign in Nigeria, Uchenna has engaged with diverse audiences from students to business owners, helping them understand AI in ways that are relevant to their realities. He believes AI literacy is not about technical depth but about inclusion, responsible use, and enabling AI as a global mobility engine for opportunity. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
