Drayton Manor: The Story of a Family Fun Park

Drayton Manor first opened its gates as an inland pleasure resort in 1950, before expanding to become the modern theme park we have today. The site has a history as a stately home dating back centuries. With the house demolished, George and Vera Bryan purchased the land and created a small pleasure park with a collection of hand operated rides. Drayton Manor remained in family ownership, expanding and updating over the years. Many iconic attractions have been installed at the park including Pirate Adventure, Shockwave, Stormforce 10 and the popular Thomas Land.
