Europe's Biggest Demolition Machine AREX M9300
The A-REX M9300 is Aregger’s monster demolition machine and one of the most impressive pieces of kit working in Europe. Built for the toughest high-reach demolition projects, this custom-built giant weighs around 300 tonnes and delivers 757 PS. With its huge 70-metre reach, massive undercarriage and imposing eight-metre working width, it has been designed to take down large buildings and heavy infrastructure with control, stability and serious power. Developed by Swiss contractor Aregger AG with support from Liebherr and Kocurek Excavators, the M9300 is far from a standard excavator. Liebherr says the machine combines the uppercarriage of an R 9150 mining excavator with the larger undercarriage of an R 9200, giving it the strength and stability needed for demanding demolition work. Seeing a person stood beside it really puts the scale into perspective — this is not just a big excavator, it is a purpose-built demolition weapon. For Aregger, the A-REX is a statement machine: engineered in Switzerland, built for extreme dismantling, and capable of tackling jobs that ordinary demolition machines simply cannot reach.
