He quickly became a contender in Supercross as he contended for the 250cc West Coast Supercross Championship in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Tomac proved that he was a threat to win any championship as he contended for both the 2012, and 2013 250cc Outdoor Motocross Championship. 2014 would see Eli move up to the 450cc class where he struggled to stay healthy, but still showed he was a front runner. 2015 was his break out year as he won 3 Supercross races and dominated the first 5 Moto's in the Outdoors before he got injuried at Thunder Valley.
