In this vlog, we leave Kauksi and continue our journey through eastern Estonia. Our first stop is the impressive Kuremäe Monastery, the oldest active nunnery in Europe. Afterwards, we drive to Narva, where our camper is parked less than 500 meters from the Russian border. From the historic fortress, we look out over Russia, watch people cross the border, and discover just how special this place is. We also explore Narva's old textile district and pass a border area where a striking warning makes us turn around. Next, we drive along the coast to a beautiful overnight spot in the forest by the sea and visit Sillamäe. This former closed Soviet city was not on official maps for years and played an important role during the Cold War. Our journey continues to campsite Mereoja and ends at Hara, a secret submarine base where Soviet submarines used to be demagnetized.
