‪@planeta_i_kraków_60_plus‬ zaprasza: Odwiedzamy dzisiaj Muzeum Duchowości i Kultury Cystersów wraz z Biblioteką i Opactwo Cystersów Kraków Mogiła. Muzeum mieści się w skrzydle południowym klasztoru w domu opata i w dawnym przeoracie, w których zakończono trwające kilka lat prace budowlane i konserwatorskie. Tematem wystawy prezentowanej w Muzeum są duchowość i kultura zakonu cystersów, ukazywane poprzez pryzmat wniesionego w rozwój Europy wkładu materialnego, jak i jej niematerialnego dziedzictwa. Wystawa ukazuje spuściznę cystersów zarówno w szerokim kontekście historii całego zakonu, jak i w wymiarze lokalnym, w odniesieniu do dziejów opactwa mogilskiego. W Muzeum można zobaczyć najcenniejsze dzieła sztuki ze zbiorów opactwa mogilskiego, a także najbardziej wartościowe obiekty pochodzące z księgozbioru biblioteki klasztornej. Wystawa ma częściowo charakter multimedialny, a niewątpliwą atrakcję stanowią makiety architektoniczne obiektów cysterskich, często będące modelami interaktywnymi. W salach muzealnych pokazano w sposób nowoczesny historię zakonu cystersów na świecie, przede wszystkim jednak w kraju - zwłaszcza w Mogile, gdzie opactwo ufundował w 1222 r. biskup Iwo Odrowąż. Z gromadzonej przez wieki wielotysięcznej biblioteki oraz archiwum klasztornego zaprezentowano wybrane księgi i rękopisy. Obok przedmiotów sztuki złotniczej pokazano także szaty liturgiczne z końca XVII wieku, które według tradycji klasztornej były darem króla Jana III Sobieskiego. W pomieszczeniach muzeum pokazano również dawne instalacje techniczne z których niegdyś słynęli cystersi m.in. piec hypokaustyczny który służył do ogrzewania pomieszczeń klasztornych ciepłym powietrzem przechodzącym kanałami w podłogach i ścianach pomieszczeń. Pokazano także odkryty w trakcie prac badawczych kanał obudowanej Młynówki, przepływającej przez dom opata, która nie tylko napędzała urządzenia pobliskiego młyna i kuźnie ale służyła także do czyszczenia latryn klasztornych. Ekspozycja muzealna zakończy się na historii kultu mogilskiego Krzyża, wizycie w 1979 r. w Mogile Ojca Świętego Jana Pawła II. ********************************************************* ‪@planeta_i_kraków_60_plus‬ invites you: Today we are visiting the Museum of Cistercian Spirituality and Culture together with the Library of the Cistercian Abbey Krakow Mogiła. The museum is located in the southern wing of the monastery in the abbot's house and in the former priory, where construction and conservation works that lasted several years were completed. The theme of the exhibition presented at the Museum is the spirituality and culture of the Cistercian Order, shown through the prism of the material contribution to the development of Europe, as well as its intangible heritage. The exhibition shows the legacy of the Cistercians both in the broad context of the history of the entire order and in the local dimension, in relation to the history of the Mogiła abbey. In the Museum, you can see the most valuable works of art from the collections of the Mogiła Abbey, as well as the most valuable objects from the collection of the monastery library. The exhibition is partly multimedia in nature, and architectural models of Cistercian buildings, often being interactive models, are an undoubted attraction. In the museum halls, the history of the Cistercian Order in the world is shown in a modern way, but above all in the country - especially in Mogiła, where the abbey was founded in 1222 by Bishop Iwo Odrowąż. Selected books and manuscripts are presented from the library, which has been gathering for centuries, and the monastic archives. Apart from objects of goldsmithing, liturgical vestments from the end of the 17th century were also shown, which, according to monastic tradition, were a gift from King Jan III Sobieski. In the rooms of the museum, old technical installations were also shown, for which the Cistercians were once famous, e.g. a hypocaust furnace which was used to heat the monastery rooms with warm air passing through channels in the floors and walls of the rooms. The canal of the enclosed Młynówka, discovered during research works, was also shown, flowing through the abbot's house, which not only powered the devices of the nearby mill and smithy, but also served to clean the monastery latrines. The museum exhibition will end with the history of the cult of the Mogiła Cross and the visit in 1979 to the grave of the Holy Father John Paul II.
