One in four Americans are now caregivers, a 50% increase since 2015. And nearly 30% of caregivers care for both an adult with a medical condition and a child under the age of 18. As part of her TWCF-supported work, Alison Gopnik, DPhil, Professor of Psychology & Philosophy UC Berkeley, leads a multi-disciplinary team of gerontologists, researchers who study childhood, political scientists, philosophers and those who study AI to explore what care is, how it develops, and how societies might better support it.
