After sewing the body of my cape together, I'll show you how I'm weaving the varafeldur inspired collar from handspun yarn and Leicester longwool locks. I'll share some things I figured out about this type of weaving and talk about the history of varafeldur, the popular pile woven trade cloaks from Iceland that were all the rage in the 11th century.
