Wole Soyinka's Tribute Poem to Mandela; "No! He Said"

From his special anthology on Nelson Mandela; Mandela's Earth And other Poems, Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka elected and recited the poem "No! He Said" at the Lagos Tribute to Nelson Mandela. Opening the event as he shared stage with choristers of the Lagos City Corale who formed his background for adornment, Professor Wole Soyinka praised (using poetry), the anti-apartheid legend for his resilience and consistency of vision even through his persecution. "No! He Said", is Wole Soyinka's rhythmic repetition, reporting Mandela's response to every offer made in order for him to gain his own freedom and back-off from making troubles with the oppressors.
