FLIPAMOS con el Pueblo NORDLINGEN que inspiró ATTACK ON TITAN
Lars and Alex cross Austria and Germany in the BYD Atto 3 Evo, visiting Nördlingen for its aesthetic connection to Attack on Titan, and ending the day in Karlstadt after a day of charging, highway driving, German towns, and many stairs. This adventure is possible thanks to the support of brands that are driving electric mobility from different angles: cars, energy, charging, and infrastructure. Thanks to them, we can travel across Europe in electric vehicles and share our experiences from the road. ⚡🚗🌍 🔋 BYD Spain One of the two cars featured in this adventure: the BYD Atto 3 Evo crossing Europe kilometer by kilometer with Lars and Alex. https://www.byd.com/es-es/coches-elec... 🚗 Renault 5 E-Tech Electric The other star of the adventure: Carlos and Mario, from the @testcoches channel, are doing the same European route in the Renault 5 electric, showing what it's like to experience such a trip from a city car that's electric and full of character. https://todoselectricos.com/r/aventur... 🐙 Electroverse by Octopus Energy A single solution for charging at thousands of points across Europe and simplifying long electric car journeys. https://todoselectricos.com/r/aventur... ⚡ Electra Charging Network Fast, simple charging designed to make electric travel easier than ever. https://todoselectricos.com/r/aventur... 🔌 Charging Points Madrid Specialized charging installers so that electric mobility starts where it matters most: at home, at work, and in everyday life. https://todoselectricos.com/r/aventur... The day starts early in Austria, with Lars and Alex taking advantage of a calisthenics park at 7:30 a.m. to get some exercise before hitting the road again. Then comes the first charge of the day at a 100 kW charger located practically next to the hotel, with the advantage of being able to pay directly by credit card without needing any apps. While the car charges, it's time for breakfast and enjoying the Austrian countryside, full of greenery, mountains, charming villages, and numerous photovoltaic installations, some even perfectly integrated into the buildings. The route continues from Austria towards Germany, with the BYD Atto 3 Evo charged to 95% and a first leg of about 300 kilometers ahead. Lars explains how he uses the car's own navigation system to have the vehicle calculate charging stops and automatically recalculate consumption based on speed, traffic, or road conditions. The takeaway is clear: traveling in electric vehicles doesn't require spreadsheets or obsessive planning, but rather choosing a destination, filtering for compatible charging networks, and letting the car suggest where to stop. An important idea for long journeys also emerges: it's not always necessary to look for the cheapest charger, because on a route like this, comfort and simplicity can be worth more than saving a few euros. Once in Germany, Lars and Alex enter the Autobahn and experience how driving changes when there are sections without speed limits. The traffic demands looking far ahead, anticipating lane changes, and respecting the German discipline of returning to the right even at high speeds. Consumption rises slightly more than expected, and they arrive at the charging station with only 6% battery remaining, after having driven at high speeds. Charging starts at around 184 kW, although it's later interrupted by a charger error, a reminder of the importance of having the car's app installed and notifications enabled to quickly find out if something goes wrong. The main tourist stop of the day is Nördlingen, a walled German city that's especially interesting for Attack on Titan fans because of its resemblance to the cities in the series. Lars and Alex wander its streets, observing the sloping roofs, the chaotic layout of the houses, the walls, and the large central tower—elements that clearly evoke the anime's aesthetic. Climbing the tower becomes a small adventure in itself, with hundreds of steps, old wooden structures, fan art on the walls, and spectacular views that showcase the city's circular shape and its walls. For Alex, a fan of the series, the place holds special significance, although both feel the town should capitalize more on its connection to the Attack on Titan cultural phenomenon. After leaving Nördlingen, the journey continues towards Karlstadt, with more charging decisions along the way. In Nördlingen, they rule out charging at slow stations at 70 cents/kWh as too expensive, and later they try a budget charger that should offer 50 kW but only delivers around 29 kW, so they end up using Ionity, more expensive but much faster and more reliable. The arrival in Karlstadt takes a small, unexpected turn...
