How to remove painted screws from a door hinge - Removing Screws COVERED In Paint from a door hinge

this is How to remove painted screws from a door hinge, old slotted screws covered in paint. I needed to remove the screws from the door hinges so i could remove the door from the frame to cut it down and fit the new carpet. Using a hammer and screwdriver to remove the gloss first then i scrap out the paint from within the screw head slot before trying to unscrew them. this is an easy way to remove screws full of paint, before I try to back out painted screws I use this method to remove the paint from the head of the screw so I have the best chance to back the screw out 1st time tho its not guaranteed. if the head is damaged to much sometimes you can drill the screw heads off to remove the hinge however you then have the threads left in the door frame and that can cause problems too.
