This Garden Felt Like a Wonderland… But Will the Numbers Say No? Ep 43

This North Wales bungalow felt different from the moment I arrived. Winding paths, huge windows, high ceilings, an old outbuilding full of character, and one of the most magical gardens I’ve seen on this whole house hunt. It really did feel like a bit of a wonderland. But this was also my first proper look at a property being sold by Modern Method of Auction, and as lovely as the setting was, the practical reality was something else. The house needed a lot of work, the additional auction fees change the true cost significantly, and by the time I viewed it there was already a bid on the property above what I could realistically afford. I’m still very glad I saw it though. Some places are worth viewing simply to understand whether the magic is real — and in this case it was. Seeing it in person also made the scale of the project, and the financial reality, much clearer. I’ll now be moving further into Mid Wales, where I’m seeing more reductions and hoping for a few more realistic possibilities. Thanks for coming along.
