Video Center / Yang Xuan Report Seven-year-old Miracle from Nigeria suffers from congenital imperforate anus, making her unable to defecate or eat normally from birth. She relies on a temporary colostomy to survive. After a long wait and numerous trips, Miracle traveled halfway around the world to Taiwan for treatment. The medical team spent four months completing anal and intestinal reconstruction surgery. Taipei Medical University Hospital held a press conference this morning, June 22nd. Miracle's mother, Jennifer, stated that Miracle was unable to undergo complete anal reconstruction surgery after birth and could only rely on a temporary colostomy. Her husband even abandoned the family because of their daughter's illness. However, to give Miracle a glimmer of hope for treatment, Jennifer decided to sell their only possessions, finally raising enough money for transportation from their home to the airport, embarking on this international medical journey with her child.
