Pennies From Heaven

Guitar solo inspired by, and improvised on, an arrangement by Howard Heitmeyer. I had no attraction to this piece until I heard my friend Bud Hedrick play this on his ukelele. Then "I GOT IT" and made a matching arrangement in the key of C. But it was a bit hard to play in C, so I looked at Howard Heitmeyer's arrangement in A. I learned once again that Howard always picks the perfect key for a guitar arrangement and he has the greatest endings... So this arrangement uses pieces from these sources and lets me improvise the intro and chromatic fills. Enjoy!
