I Drove Across Chicago To Check Every Major Construction Site

A massive, comprehensive street-level and high-angle look tracking the historic urban transformations reshaping Chicago from coast to coast. In this massive development update, we take a marathon drive across the city to document the exact real-time construction milestones at Chicago's heaviest megaprojects. We start at the newly topped-out 400 Lake Shore Drive tower before heading west into River North to track JDL's massive footprint at North Union and the historic, boarded-up rowhouses of the Frances Cabrini Homes. From there, we check out the crane-less mid-rise action at 227 W. Chicago and investigate the sprawling vacant land of the Cabrini master plan. Next, we track the heavy site-prep and infrastructure progress at the massive future Bally’s Casino site before heading south to cover the monumental civil shifts at Related Midwest’s 62-acre riverfront development, The 78, and the vertical podium progress at 1010 S. Wells. Finally, we loop past Halsted Pointe and head out west to track the newly active foundation work and crane staging for Phase 1 of the $7 Billion 1901 Project surrounding the United Center.
