Today I'm at The Huntsman in Newton Aycliffe, doing my darnedest to become just the second person ever to conquer what may well be the biggest parmo challenge in the whole of England! Diners get 30 minutes in which to finish a huge breaded chicken cutlet, drenched in beschamel sauce and melted cheese, with a topping of your choice, two portions of twice-cooked chips, onion rings, coleslaw and salad. If you can manage it, you get a spot on the winner's wall and the meal half price. If not, it'll knock you £25 and a lifetime of shame.
