DIESE Medikamente müssen Sie haben (zu Hause) ⚠️ für Notfälle und im Alltag
Time and again, I see how patients are surprised when acute symptoms arise – and they don't have the essentials at home. A well-stocked medicine cabinet can save time, stress, and even complications in an emergency. Today, I'll show you which medications and aids I always keep on hand – and what you absolutely need to keep in mind when taking them. ⏩ Get informed first, then supplement: Feel free to take a look at my guides https://bit.ly/RatgeberHowTo ✅ ❎ 100% independent ❎ 100% study-based ❎ 100% medically accurate 00:00 | When was the last time you checked your medicine cabinet? 01:36 | The 3 most common medication mistakes 06:35 | Paracetamol or Ibuprofen 11:58 | Loperamide 13:04 | Electrolyte mix 14:45 | Cetirizine or Loratadine 2:45 PM | Statins 2:45 PM | Antacids 2:45 PM | Wound disinfection #medication #medicine #health Three common mistakes when taking medication Before we get to the equipment, a quick but important note: Many people make simple but risky mistakes when taking medication. First, never swallow tablets dry – always with a large glass of water. This protects your esophagus and stomach. Second, never take medication with milk. Milk can bind to active ingredients and weaken their effect. And third, not every tablet should be split – even if it has a score line. Always read the package insert first. Painkillers: Paracetamol or Ibuprofen? I'm not a fan of taking painkillers carelessly. But in special cases – severe headaches, toothaches, or acute period pain – a tablet may be necessary. That's why I keep ibuprofen and paracetamol in my medicine cabinet. Important: Follow the so-called 10-20 rule. Painkillers should be taken for a maximum of 10 days per month and no longer than 3 days in a row. Ibuprofen is hard on the stomach – so only take it after eating. Paracetamol, on the other hand, is broken down by the liver and is taboo for hangovers, as alcohol already puts enough strain on the liver. For Diarrhea: Loperamide and Electrolytes Loperamide helps with acute diarrhea, for example, when on the go or traveling. However, it only treats the symptom, not the cause. Avoid taking it in cases of spoiled food or infections so as not to hinder the body's ability to "cleanse" itself. After diarrhea or vomiting, it is crucial to restore electrolyte balance. Ready-made mixtures from the pharmacy are ideal for this – but please drink slowly, not all at once. Cetirizine or Loratadine for Allergies Suddenly watery eyes or a rash? Allergies can affect anyone – even without a history of them. That's why I always carry an antihistamine like cetirizine or loratadine with me. Cetirizine works reliably, but sometimes makes me drowsy—so it's best to take it in the evening. Loratadine is generally better tolerated.
