【南大嶼誌 (下)】裊裊嶼音 South Lantau Chronicle - Sounds and Tracks of Lantau Birds

Amidst the myriad of sounds, bird researchers listen carefully and record the birdsong within the silence. Since 2021, the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society has been conducting a two-year research project in South Lantau at Shui Hau, Pui O, Shap Long and Fan Lau. The project includes conducting systematic bird surveys and applying the technique of Passive Acoustics Monitoring (PAM) in ecologically sensitive sites to record bird species through their vocal activities, especially for species which are nocturnal, rare or secretive.
