How to Make a Knotted / Cord Rosary

If you've ever wanted to make one of those colorful knotted cord rosaries you've seen, maybe this video will help! (*Just a note about having to cut your own cord - once you've measured out 5 to 6 yards and cut the cord, make sure you burn the end. It will unravel otherwise.) Still need supplies? Here's where I get mine: 1. http://divinetwine.blogspot.com/ This is where I purchase most of my cord. It comes pre-cut and there are tons of colors to choose from. It's a bit on the expensive side since it costs $1 per strand (each strand is about 6 yards), but the quality is great and you can find more than just solid colors. The official site is technically closed, but one of the shop owners will still fulfill orders by mail. You can purchase both size #21 (thinner) and #36 (thicker) cord here. 2. https://www.olrm.org/ "Our Lady's Rosary Makers" is the other site where I typically buy my cord. They sell a variety of colors too, but only solid colors, and they do not come pre-cut. Cord is sold by the spool, which means you get enough cord to make about 25 rosaries per spool. Since each spool is $9, that means your price per rosary is much cheaper than the first website. They sell sizes #9 and #36. Do NOT buy #9 unless you are making beaded rosaries. #9 cord is too thin for making knotted rosaries. This is also where I purchased the little blue knotting tool you see me using in the video. 3. https://www.catholicparts.com/ I have also purchased rosary making supplies at this site as well. The prices are not as good as Our Lady's Rosary Makers, but they do have a number of options. They sell both #21 size cord and #36.
