Our current student visa is set to expire next March, and we’ve been told that extending it for a third time may be difficult. In the middle of all this, graduate school has come up as a new option. We’re now considering several possibilities: going to graduate school in order to stay in Australia, looking into a guardian visa, leaving only our oldest son in Australia, or returning to Japan as a family. Especially for our oldest son, by next March he will still have about nine months left before graduating from high school. So if possible, we’d like to stay in Australia until he graduates.
