After ACL surgery on my knee, it's time to start from scratch. After so many years connected to the mountains, we have to stop and lower our standards during rehabilitation. We have more than six long months ahead of us before we can do what we used to do. It's time to reconnect with everything that made us fall in love with the mountains and rediscover the joy of hiking from the valley floor, relearning to walk and taking easier routes.
