The discovery of a huge hoard of coins in Seville has generated enormous excitement in the archaeological community. Although such finds can be called treasures or hoards, depending on their size, experts technically prefer to refer to them as hidden caches. This is the case with three of the coin hoards found in Salamanca in recent decades. They are treasures without a map.
