Si Ferry Meets...Kris Commons Episode 1 - Youth Football, Forest, Derby, 1st Season at Celtic

In Episode 1 of our 2 part series with the former Celtic talisman, Kris Commons, we delve into the goal Scorer’s football upbringing down south and the path which led him to start making a name for himself with Nottignham Forest and Derby. Kris shares some great stories from his days with the East Midlands clubs including some unorthodox approaches from his old managers towards pre season and contract negotiations! The conversation moves on to Kris’ transfer to Celtic where there was no rest for the wicked as he was threw in as one of the main men in the team as Neil Lennon’s Celtic were in the hunt for the league title. He tells Si about some of the surreal experiences he immediately faced in his first season including pivotal games against Rangers, a tense title race as well as the horrendous threatening incidents towards his manager, Neil Lennon.
