Crazy Road Trip through Mexico with the VW 181 the Thing

We drove with the Volkswagen 181 called the Thing throughout Mexico. The car is more then basic and built in 76. So we had quite some problems on this trip but it made this video even more interesting. Just to let you now, we never made it with the same motor. Mit einem alten VW Safari Bj. 76 sind wir von der Stadt Monterrey im Norden Mexikos, bis nach Quintana Roo dem südlichsten Teil einmal quer durch das Land gefahren. Der VW Safari hatte keine Seitenscheiben und kein Scheibenwischer. Die Tachoanzeige funktionierte nicht genauso wie die Tankanzeige. Wir haben auf den mehr als 3000 Kilometern 8 Verschiedene Werkstätten besucht und den Motor sogar einmal komplett austauschen müssen. In Mexiko City sind wir in ein Justin Bieber Konzert geraten. Das war aber noch nicht das schlimmste.
