Dr. Yang is the Director of the Cambridge StarKids (http://www.cambridgestarkids.com/), a center in Hangzhou, China dedicated to early interventions for kids with autism. He is also a senior research scientist at BrainCo Inc. His team is integrating wearable brainwave device, machine learning algorithms, and research on brain and cognition to develop innovative solutions for individuals with autism. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree in Cognitive Psychology, Dr. Yang has had nearly 10 years of research experience at Harvard Medical School and University of California, Davis. He has published 27 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals including Annals of Neurology and Neuropsychopharmacology. He also served as an Associate Editor for Journal of Psychophysiology. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
