Full Recoil Audio Build in Our GMC Shop Truck (Custom Sub Box + 6x9 Speaker Swap)

Our GMC Sierra 1500 shop truck has been doing everything right, except sounding the part. It’s been reliable, useful, and a great hauler for everything we need it for, but compared to the rest of our builds, it was lacking something… That changes today. We’re tearing into it and building a full custom audio system from the ground up with a full Recoil Audio lineup. We’re fabricating a custom subwoofer enclosure built around a 12” subwoofer, paired with a clean, integrated amp rack that keeps everything functional and visually dialed. We’re adding elevated 6.5” rear fill speakers to improve staging and clarity throughout the cabin. And the entire box is getting bedlined, to look the part as much as it functions the part. Up front, we’re stepping things up properly, replacing the factory 6.5” door speakers with Recoil’s 6x9” drivers for stronger mid-range and fuller sound. The factory dash locations get filled with 3” speakers to bring the highs forward and balance the entire system. We’re grateful to partner with Recoil Audio for this build.
