Unlike Old Havana, where time seems to stand still amidst history and beautiful ruins, Playa has a different feel: spacious houses, manicured gardens, famous artists, and a blend of luxury and everyday life that can only be found in Cuba. I stayed in an Airbnb near Fifth and 96th Streets, a quiet corner where you can still hear the rooster crowing at dawn and the calls of street vendors as they pass by. From there, we went for a walk, bought pizza at the neighborhood kiosk, and ended the day on the Playa coast, enjoying a Cuban sunset by the sea 🌅.
