How to Clean the Parner Stainless Steel 81oz Cat Water Fountain
I take apart and put back together the Parner Stainless Steel 81 oz Cat Water Fountain, including the motor. This is how you can keep your pet water fountain clean, so your pets will have clean, fresh water. This is the larger version of this pet water fountain in the Parner line. I think it's a good option. It has a stainless steel plate at the top to help keep the water fountain sanitary. Stainless steel won't scratch like plastic, which can hold bacteria and can potentially contribute to feline acne. I also find stainless steel easier to clean, as it can be scrubbed very well with a scrubber without fear of damaging the surface. I'm seeing more pet water fountains with LED lights, which is a nice feature both for older cats who might not see well at night anymore, but also for people who are walking around at night or in the morning. It's nice to have a little nightlight there so you don't accidentally trip over the fountain or knock it over with your feet. As always, please keep your pet water fountains clean. I have not yet encountered a pet water fountain that is self-cleaning. They all need to be cleaned regularly, just like any water bowl (yes, those need to be cleaned, too!). If you just dump in water to top it off and don't clean the water fountain regularly (ideally every day, but every other day or every three days at the minimum), it will be dirtier and harder to clean when you do get around to cleaning it. It is actually much easier to clean a water fountain that isn't very dirty, rather than having to scrub really hard at thick biofilm and mildew. Don't wait until it's really gross. Clean often, clean well. It will save you stress in the long run, and will ensure your pet has clean water to drink.
