The Honest Verdict - Don't Run Linux on an Android TV Box!
I entertain this notion that you might be able to run Linux on a TV box and get it to work like a Raspberry Pi with some kind of light weight distro, but nope! You will see all kinds of YouTubers tell you all kinds of things, but the proof is in the pudding. I've tried three different TV boxes and they all run wonderfully under Android OS running Android apps. They all fail miserably trying to even boot Armbian Linux - so just forget about it and use Android!
