TOMAR – Praia Fluvial da Mendacha foi afetada pela tempestade Kristin e aguarda por limpeza

The Mendacha River Beach, in the parish of Sabacheira, municipality of Tomar, was also affected by Storm Kristin, which caused several trees to fall into the riverbed, making a cleanup intervention necessary. During a visit to the site, the president of the Parish Council, Zaida Costa, explained that the main priority is the removal of the trees and accumulated material from the river, in order to restore the safety and usability of that leisure space. The mayor also highlighted that the Mendacha River Beach is a space mainly used by the population of the parish, and the Parish Council intends to preserve its more private character.
