Installing our ICF Window Bucks- Why we switched from Fox Buck vs LSL
The concrete truck is booked for next week so we are rushing to get ready to pour the next section of ICF walls. Next job is window bucking for our ICF window and door openings. With all the shortages in materials we had to switch from Fox Blocks Fox Buck to LSL Laminated Strand Lumber for our ICF window openings. Not ideal for our energy efficient house but a necessity to stick to our timeline. Watch the two of us struggle to get the heavy LSL in place in time for pour day! When a couple builds a house by themselves, the heavy lifting tasks can be a challenge. About Us: For a long time, Terry and I have been dreaming of a simpler life for ourselves- an off-grid cabin, wilderness, gardening, livestock, homesteading and lots of adventures. Last year we decided it was time to start working toward our dream and we set out on the hunt for our little slice of paradise. Join our journey of buying raw land and building our home as first time owner builders. Welcome to An Average Acre!
