Parliamo di Cinema con Massimiliano Battistella e Ivana Cvetkovic Bajrovic - IFF26

Director Massimiliano Battistella and producer Ivana Cvetkovic Bajrovic were guests on the second evening of the 24th Ischia Film Festival, presenting the feature film competing in the "DOM" Location section. The film—the director's first feature—tells the story of Mirela: a forty-year-old Bosnian woman living in Rimini with her partner and two children, who returns to Sarajevo, where she lived until the age of ten in the Dom Bjelave orphanage. Evacuated on a humanitarian convoy at the outbreak of war, she now reconnects with childhood friends and the places that once welcomed her. The journey becomes a search for her mother, and for herself, leading her to her home village in the Republika Srpska. Through archives of besieged Sarajevo and intimate memories, the film intertwines personal memory and collective history. Host: Antonio Capellupo --- The Ischia Film Festival is supported by: MiC's General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual, the Campania Region - Campania Region Film Commission, BONACINA, and BPER Banca.
