Batman Caped Crusader’s Adaptation of Gentleman Ghost is NOT a Good Adaptation of the Character

Hello everyone consider this my 5K special! :D Thank you guys so much for your support! Anyway now onto to the topic on hand I don’t hate Batman: Caped Crusader nor do I hate their version of Gentleman Ghost. I just think they downgraded a lot of the characters in general. Some background info I didn’t include here is that they’re both from different time periods as CC!GG is about 100 years older than Canon!GG. This makes them have different environments they live in but other than that it’s basically free game. The gist of the video is essentially they took away all of GG’s personality, whimsy and moral code and replaced it by making him a classist and a racist which technically could be because of the time period but my god he’s soooo serious and spiteful. He is so vastly different to who canon!GG is as a person and character that he barely has anything in common with him. In Batman Brave and the Bold he’s more evil than canon BUT here’s the important part they mostly kept his personality and because of this I love him. TTG!GG kept his moral compass, DCSHG! kept his personality the same AND they have a backstory tied back to the Craddock fortune yet it’s still more faithful because he’s still sassy. DCSHG!GG and CC!GG are very very similar adaptations of the character backstory wise yet I have two different opinions on them because DCSHG!GG kept his personality and overall charm while CC!GG got rid of it. EVEN SUPER FRIENDS IS MORE IN CHARACTER THAN CAPED CRUSADER BECAUSE say it with me now HE’S SASSY AND STILL HAS CHARM EVEN IF HE’S CARTOONISHLY EVIL! Caped Crusader’s Gentleman Ghost may fit with the show and tone of the episode but he’s a terrible adaptation of the character. Btw if anyone watching this likes CC!GG that’s totally cool, he’s just not my cup of tea and that is perfectly fine. :) Yes I saw the teasers for season two btw and I have very mixed feelings abt it but hey Riddler looks cool so maybe I’ll watch season 2 for him and I guess to see if there’s any GG developments. I’m still mad abt their handling of Harvey Dent (Twoface) so 😬 I guess we’ll see what happens Let me know if you want me to elaborate further on any parts or if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them! :D Also I just don’t personally care for the design that much it’s like a 3/10 but hey there have been worse redesigns cough new 52 cough
