The Unisa Directorate: Counselling and Career Development (DCCD) hosted this career talk to help students understand how recruiters search for and shortlist candidates online. During the session, students learned about: • How recruiters search for candidates on platforms such as Pnet • What candidate profiles look like from the recruiter’s perspective • How the quality and structure of CV information affect visibility and shortlisting • Key principles for designing a clear, targeted CV • How AI tools can assist with improving CV wording and highlighting relevant skills The session included a live demonstration of recruiter search tools, giving students insight into how recruitment systems filter and rank candidates.
