La Kabbale de Louria | O.M.T.

Kabbalah is based on the distinction between two aspects of Moses' teaching: one exoteric, expressed in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament) and intended for the masses; the other esoteric, that is, secret, entrusted by the Master to seventy disciples, who themselves ensured its transmission. It is therefore an oral tradition of an occult nature, transmitted through the centuries from master to disciple. The central element of Kabbalistic theory is a cosmogony which, founded on the unity of God (En-Soph), produces his emanations (Sephiroth), which, in turn, give rise to the "lines" corresponding to the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, from which the thirty-two "Paths of Wisdom" are developed. Isaac Luria (1534-1572), nicknamed "Ha Ari," meaning "The Lion," a student of the great Kabbalist Moses Cordovero, exerted a considerable influence on Jewish mysticism. A charismatic figure, Isaac Luria is said to have received revelations from the prophet Elijah and from the Holy Spirit himself. His prodigiously complex and rich theosophical doctrine was expounded by Hayim Vital, one of his principal disciples. It is structured around essential notions such as "Tzimtzum," "Adam Kadmon," "Shevira," "Tikun," and "Gilgul." These concepts, which are discussed in this video, were an immediate success because they made certain principles expounded in Kabbalah concerning the mysteries of Creation more accessible.
