Watch Out for Skids and Slips! Illusions of Drift Lesson in My PPL Flight Training
I had no idea how much drift affected flying until this lesson. It was crazy how high winds could create so many potentially dangerous illusions for flying. Thankfully, my instructor and I were able to experience these illusions and learn how to correct for them, so I feel more confident in dealing with that in the future! 500 feet circuits are really something else! This is part of my journey to become a commercial airline pilot at the old old age of 36. I hope that if this all goes well that it can be a source of hope for other people like me who may not have been able to afford flight training at a younger age who want to make a career shift later on in life. Here is a link to the aviation study group AND international student flight school channel: / discord Please feel free to share this with any of your other friends who might be considering learning to fly in Vancouver.
