Happy ending - Infrared blocking filter removal - part 2

The story has a happy ending. Where we left off I pretty much had a bricked DSLR in my hands. I did some trouble shooting the day and it turned out very to be time well spent. Some learning experiences to share: Make sure the instructions are printed in whole. Printed off the page it may leave some parts of the pictures cut out, leaving important bits. *Be careful with the connectors and note how they clam off the flat cables. *Anti-static wristband! Very important when handling sensitive electronics. A fault caused by a loose cable etc can be found and dealt with. Fried electronics is not, and will not be easy to find with normal trouble shooting processes. *If you do not compensate with a clear filter the focal point will shift there will be issues with the autofocus. As I'm not using the camera for anything other than astrophotography this is not an issue for me, but you might want to keep this in mind.
