This Shouldn’t Have Happened to Me in Pakistan

Today I spent the day wandering through Karachi, and what happened honestly makes no sense. I couldn’t walk more than a few steps without someone inviting me for food, offering tea, giving me gifts, or trying to help me in some way. The generosity here is on another level. From meeting locals on the street, to getting my shoe repaired by a guy for $0.50, to exploring an abandoned building tucked between busy roads… this day was full of surprises. I tried the "fantastic" Pakistan chai, got pulled into random conversations, got offered free snacks, free deals while shopping, and experienced the exact kind of hospitality Pakistan is known for, but nothing prepares you for it until you’re here in person.
