Perla productiva del Valle del Chamelecón y Machaguala que desafía a San Pedro Sula capital industia

Cofradía is a town or small city in the municipality of San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras. #tourism #coneduardoamador #news #travel #travel #cortes #honduras #travel #brotherhood #sps #tegucigalpa #city #town #highwayca4 Cofradía Cortés is located in the upper valley of the Chamelecon River and the Machaguala River . Cofradía Cortés is connected to the rest of the country by highway CA-4 . According to some historians, brotherhoods began in the early 19th century. The first settlers who arrived in this area of the country came from the nearest departments such as Santa Bárbara, Copán, Lempira, Ocotepeque and Yoro; however, there are also records of people who came from the south of the country; from the departments of Choluteca and Valle; These people were attracted by the fertility of these lands, which are constantly moistened by the Machaguala and Chamelecon rivers, fostering the cultivation of basic grains, corn, beans, sugarcane, bananas, and also livestock farming, including cattle and bovine cattle. Currently, Cofradía Cortés has a population of almost 50,000 inhabitants, most of whom live in the central urban area, since a large part of them are entrepreneurs who have their businesses and ventures in the urban area, where all kinds of food products can be found; from vegetables to the most exotic meats. Commerce in Cofradía is very varied since this small town is the preferred commercial center and close to dozens of villages and hamlets whose inhabitants prefer to trade and make their purchases in Cofradía since some products are cheaper even than San Pedro Sula itself since retail businesses suffer from the uncontrolled taxes that municipalities impose causing price inflation and for that reason some commercial businesses raise their prices justifying the high uncontrolled taxes that politicians impose. Cofradía was officially founded on 05/09/1836. The name Cofradía is derived from the brotherhood or religious brotherhood that used to exist in this place. Cofradía has a well-drawn urban center since its foundation, in the center is the well-decorated central park where every afternoon hundreds of people gather to chat and socialize with family and friends. A few blocks away is the Catholic Church, one of the best designed in the area. Stained-glass windows and finely painted details adorn the interior, creating a very pleasant atmosphere for visitors. From the high mountains to the fertile valley where Cofradía is located, these are productive lands where all kinds of basic grains and tropical fruits are grown. The most visible are the sugarcane plantations, which have been an important source of wealth and employment for thousands of people who work on the large sugarcane plantations. Livestock farming is also an important sector, as delicious cheeses are produced in this part of the country from locally produced milk. Much of the cheese is distributed to various regions of the country, but the majority is sold in grocery stores and local markets. The public infrastructure of Cofradía is managed by the local government and the municipality of San Pedro Sula Cortes, the mother municipality of this small town. The workers of the San Pedro Sula town hall or municipality can be seen at a glance, as it is a duty well-deserved, since Cofradía is, after the major city, the largest contributor of taxes to the municipality of Los Zorzales. Cofradía has a variety of commercial establishments in operation, ranging from small fried chicken and hot dog stands to exclusive dishes and Italian pizzas. Several private schools teach the bread of knowledge to the thousands of Cofradía children every day. Transportation in Cofradía is very easy for residents, as there are hundreds of motorcycle taxis, taxis, and buses for urban and interurban routes. Cofradía is located on the CA4 highway, the most important route in western Honduras. At the entrance to the urban area of this small town, there is a boulevard more than half a kilometer long with concrete pavement very similar to the entrance to Pinalejo Santa Barbara, which is in a very similar geographical location. The population of Cofradía is predominantly mestizo, but many white people with green and blue eyes can be seen. This is because the first settlers were originally from areas that were settled by ancient Spanish conquistadors, who left a strong mark on the territory with many people of European white complexion. The economy of this place is greatly benefited by its proximity to industrial processing parks, such as Green Valley in Naco, which is a source of employment for thousands of workers in the area, directly benefiting the population of Cofradía. For years, there have been rumors and voices among the residents of this commune with the idea of demanding the creation of a municipality of Cofradía, but it has not yet been established.
