Poynton - Past & Present - 1985

A snapshot into the mid-80s, "Poynton - Past & Present" is a voyage back nearly 30 years to a land where the words Safety and Health were seldom found in close proximity. Shot on both a shoestring and a VHS camcorder the size of a minibus, this was created as part of our General Studies A Level. It features daring use of the rostrum camera and us clambering around in both the spire of St Georges and the roof of the Baptist Church - no safety harnesses required. State of the Art captioning came care of a Sinclair ZX Spectrum and the editing via 2 domestic VHS decks. Quite honestly, it's scary how much has changed - and how much hasn't.
