FEIRA DE VALENÇA - Uma das maiores de Portugal!

The weekly fair in Valença takes place every Wednesday, with 238 stalls selling a wide variety of products, from dishes, shoes, clothes, bags, textiles, handicrafts, furniture, tools, sweets, wines, snacks, vegetables, flowers, and even animals. Everything you need you will find here, and best of all, the prices are super affordable. It has been happening since 1282, that is, 7 centuries of history, culture and tradition. It started in the fortress and later moved to near the international bridge on the banks of the river. Currently, it has its own space, an area of ​​21,000 m², and is one of the largest in Portugal! It has impeccable infrastructure, all paved with Portuguese cobblestones, and has a green area with benches and a public restroom, aiming at the comfort of those who come to visit the fair. In normal times, it attracts hundreds of tourists, mainly Spaniards. In addition to Wednesdays, the fair also takes place on the first Sunday of the month along with the antiques and vintage fair, which is paradise for those who, like me, love to search for treasures and imagine the history behind each object.
