Gerard Christopher Superboy Announcement - 1989

In May of 1989, "The Adventures Of SUPERBOY" syndicated series moved to Universal Studios Orlando. They also chose a new actor to portray Clark Kent/ SUPERBOY. At a press conference held on the SUPERBOY sound-stage, Executive Producer Ilya Salkind unveils Gerard Christopher to the public. Incidentally, this press conference for the second season also introduced Ian Mitchell Smith as the character "Andy McAlister", Clark's new roommate at Shuster University. The large blue backdrop behind them is the giant blue screen that the series used to shoot the flying sequences that would be composited into the show. Enjoy.
