Hello Friends! Welcome back to a new video of Exploring North-East. This video is based on the Top 10 largest cities in the north-eastern region of India. North-East India is developing rapidly day-by-day with many improvements in the rural areas and the sprawling cities on which the video is based. The largest cities in North-East India include :- 1. Guwahati City 2. Agartala City 3. Imphal City 4. Dimapur City 5. Shillong City 6. Aizawl City 7. Silchar City 8. Dibrugarh City 9. Jorhat City 10. Nagaon City The following video ranks the largest cities by population. For which Agartala City comes in Second Largest and Imphal City comes in Third Largest. On the basis of Infrastructure and Development, Imphal City comes in Second Largest and Agartala City comes in Third Largest. The North-East has also a total number of 3 Municipal Corporations :- "Guwahati, Agartala and Imphal", among which Guwahati is the largest. The cities with their Governing Bodies are as follows :- 1. Guwahati City :- Guwahati Municipal Corporation 2. Agartala City :- Agartala Municipal Corporation 3. Imphal City :- Imphal Municipal Corporation 4. Dimapur City :- Dimapur Municipal Board 5. Shillong City :- Shillong Municipal Board 6. Aizawl City :- Aizawl Municipal Board 7. Silchar City :- Silchar Municipal Board 8. Dibrugarh City :- Dibrugarh Municipal Board 9. Jorhat City :- Jorhat Municipal Board 10. Nagaon City :- Nagaon Municipal Board The other cities are Municipal Boards and are on the race of becoming cities in the future. There are also two International Airports in North-East India. The one is the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport or the Guwahati International Airport and the other one is the Bir Tikendrajit International (BTI) Airport or the Imphal International Airport.
