Married at a young age, James and Ellen were convinced that God had a great work for them to accomplish together. They were not wrong, as they went on to form the Seventh Day Adventist Church together. Through the course of their marriage, they had many trials thrown at them - things that may have broken many other marriages, yet their love for each other continued until James' death in 1881 at the age of 60.
