USA 2022 Teil 3: Kanab / Cottonwood Canyon / Monument Valley / Moab / The Needles! Roadtrip 2022

Have you ever heard of Cottonwood Canyon or The Needles? If not, then this vlog is for you! We're on our nearly four-week road trip across the USA – from Los Angeles to Denver. Thanks to a number of detours, we're covering over 3,000 miles. We're traveling through five states, visiting seven national parks, and embarking on a series of spectacular hikes that couldn't be more different. In this third installment of our road trip vlogs, we're finally visiting the lesser-known but most captivating places! We've already mentioned two of these highlights above: 1. The Cottonwood Canyon Road winds its way for about 60 miles through the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This dirt road can be accessed from Kanab in the south or from Bryce Canyon in the north. Besides incredibly beautiful scenery, it offers a number of exciting hikes where you'll often find yourself alone. Unfortunately, we only had time for one hike through Cottonwood Narrows North, a slot canyon. But we'll definitely be back with more time! 2. A less-visited area of Canyonlands National Park is called The Needles. This is because even Moab (the nearest larger town) is about a 90-minute drive away. Therefore, despite the unique hiking trails and breathtaking scenery, there are no crowds of visitors here. On our 7-hour hike in and through Chesler Park, we didn't encounter 20 people. That was definitely one of the top three experiences of our trip! Oh, and we also visited Monument Valley ;-) Enjoy the video! ...
