Hard Seasons, Soft Hearts

Ramp Church Hamilton Date: Sunday: 6-21-26 Speaker: Brett Rayner How do we keep a soft heart when life gets hard? In this message, Brett Rayner teaches from Hebrews 3, Matthew 17, and the story of Jesus’ disciples struggling to cast out a deaf and mute spirit. Jesus calls His disciples into a deeper kind of faith — the kind of faith that can carry authority, confront darkness, and bring freedom to a generation. But that kind of faith requires a soft heart. Looking at Israel in the wilderness, the disciples in the boat, Joshua before Jericho, John the Baptist in prison, and Jesus’ call to surrender, this message challenges believers to keep their hearts tender toward God and toward one another. Hard seasons do not have to produce hard hearts. In Christ, hard seasons can become places where faith deepens, surrender grows, and the heart becomes even more responsive to the voice of God. This is a call to surrender our way, walk in forgiveness, choose faith, and trust that Jesus is still in the boat.
