DRIVING THE CRAZY ROADS OF ZAMBIA WITH MY TOYOTA HILUX |S2EP19|

I'm still on the road to head North towards Kafue National Park. The road is so busy, livestock, pedestrians, bikes, potholes... I need to stay alert all the time while discovering the amazing scenery for the first time. Crossing into the African bush and then villages and small towns, and repeat. The more the sun goes down, the more it gets busier, and loud. I love it. And here it goes, I get called Mzungu for the very first time. At first, I don't mind to be called this way. This Swahili word stands for 'someone who wanders without purpose' and to be honest, that's exactly the way it is. Plus, I get lost a few times on the way. I'm clearly a Mzungu on that one. I finally reach Namwala but late that day. I stopped by a 'motel' (I don't even know how to call it), and the staff is just adorable although surprised to see a 'Mzungu' alone in that area of Zambia. Because it's clearly not a touristic place at all, and I love it. The next morning I give up about Kafue and head back South, but Sout West to be precise. I want to get close to the famous Lake Kariba, and the road is getting worst. I'm driving with the truck drivers and I'm so amazed how they can drive these big trucks on that hell of a roads.
