Buscando un lugar para la "Gallina Extremeña Azul"

What lies behind an endangered livestock breed? Who cares for it, where does it live today, and why is it still important? This short documentary introduces us to the Extremadura Blue Chicken, a native breed from Extremadura (Spain) that was on the verge of extinction and has now recovered thanks to the collaborative work of breeders, organizations, and projects committed to its conservation. Through these images, we discover its value as a hardy breed, deeply connected to the land and with broad potential within the agroecological systems in which it thrives, as well as the collective effort that sustains its recovery. 🎥 This video was produced within the framework of the Galliextrem Operational Group, comprised of: Fundación Entretantos, Asociación Paisaje, Ecología y Género, and Innogestiona Ambiental, with support from CICYTEX and the collaboration of Fundación Global Nature. 💡 Project co-financed by: EAFRD, Junta de Extremadura, and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
