Historically, Pakistan's results there have not been very successful. The players have worked extremely hard during the past month of training camps. Shan Masood is highly confident and has prepared thoroughly for the tour. Shan is an experienced and mature cricketer who understands his responsibilities. Hopefully, he will also make a significant contribution as a player. At the beginning of the camp, there were a few fitness concerns. Over the last two to three weeks of rehabilitation, the players have shown remarkable improvement. Mohammad Rizwan now looks fully fit. Rizwan is an experienced and consistent performer. Big players step up during crucial moments. The upcoming series will be challenging, and hopefully Rizwan's performances will benefit the team. We have been working closely and communicating continuously with the players for the past six weeks. Asad Shafiq and Misbah-ul-Haq also worked extensively with the players during the camp. It is encouraging to see domestic performers consistently being rewarded with opportunities in the national team. Several new players earned their places in the squad through strong domestic performances. Whenever given the opportunity, the young players will showcase their abilities. Modern cricket has evolved significantly, and success now requires consistently high-quality performances. Pakistan produced outstanding performances during the 2016 and 2018 tours of England. In the past, long training camps and hard work also helped Pakistan achieve positive results in England. The players have worked extremely hard over the last six weeks, and we hope to achieve good results on both upcoming tours. England's conditions should never be taken lightly. The weather and bounce in England always present a major challenge. Those difficult conditions will also provide valuable learning opportunities for the younger players. All 16 players in the squad are considered first-choice options. There is no such thing as a second-priority player in the Pakistan national team. The best possible playing XI will be selected according to the conditions. Pakistan has several talented young wicketkeepers. Saad Baig and the other young wicketkeepers possess tremendous potential. International cricket brings a completely different level of pressure. With consistent opportunities, the young players will continue to mature.
